The word „Lingam“ comes from the classic Sanskrit language of India and is rather difficult?to translate into western languages. „Lotus Sword“ – the Lotus flower is the most beautiful flower, the Buddha himself is usually  depicted sitting on a Lotus throne

The meaning of the word „Yoni“ goes far beyond these terms. In Tantra the „Yoni“ is honoured and worshipped as the very basis and source for all being, as a symbol for the cosmic mystery. In this sense it acts as a symbol for the goddess Shakti when she, „the great mother“ who gives birth to the universe itself, is addressed in meditation.

So a better translation would be:

„Temple of thousendfold bliss“
„Jade Cavern“ – Jade is the most precious gem in the Indian realm
„Palace of complete bliss“ or „Place of the 1000 sweet secrets“
„Lotus Womb“ – the Lotus flower is the most beautiful flower, the Buddha himself is usually depicted sitting on a Lotus throne

All these underlying concepts, which are rather alien to us Europeans, are expressed in a tantric „Yoni-massage“.
